Strength is a melee combat skill which increases the amount of damage a player can inflict in melee combat by two and a half points per level. Strength is one of the most popular skills among players. The strength level ranges from 1 - 99. See

The achievement of the strength skill is getting a skill point and a 99 in that category. You're then rewarded with the Strength cape and the skillcape emote.
